deckle edge announces lightweight fabric garage board system

deckle edge, a full service graphics agency specialising in retail, events, exhibitions and motorsport, has announced the launch of its innovative tensioned fabric system.

The new concept is said to be a direct result of deckle edge observing the huge costs and the logistics involved with traditional solid boards when working with clients.

The tensioned fabric system is 70% lighter than standard solutions providing an easy to transport, fold, store and construct structure ideal for motorsport teams and for companies who attend a large number of events and exhibitions.

The system utilises a robust and foldable material providing users with an easier, more cost effective solution for moving and storing heavy board systems. The printable fabric comes in two versions, a block out version to prevent show-through and a translucent option, both of which are used in soft signage and light boxes.

In motorsport the solution is used for fabric garage boards, ideal for teams competing regularly in races across the world, as they are foldable and lightweight saving valuable space as well as considerably reducing transport costs.

deckle edge has the ability to work with teams to create a bespoke layout that allows designs to be easily adapted as sponsors and needs require and was used for the first time at the 2017 24 hour race in Dubai. Led by Operations Director Paul Edwards, the company is made up of a team with extensive knowledge, skills and experience within the retail, events and motorsport space.

"At deckle edge we are committed to working together with our clients to meet their needs, that’s how the lightweight tensioned fabric system was conceived," said Edwards. "We noticed how much money and organisation was required for the traditional larger structures and wanted to provide a solution that reduced cost and time for teams and companies. Using our latest equipment, technology and experienced team we have been able to design this system which we are sure will help many teams and companies in the future."
