World Rallycross Championship signs new logistics partner

The FIA World Rallycross Championship has announced it has signed Woodland Group as the World Championship’s official logistics partner.

The new partnership will see World RX, which is run and promoted by IMG, use Woodland Group to oversee all of the Championship’s logistic requirements on an ongoing basis. In 2017, World RX will visit three continents: Europe, North America and Africa.

Woodland Group is one of the largest privately owned global logistics businesses in the UK., with a global network of dedicated offices and experience servicing the motorsports industry across the USA, Asia, UK, the Middle East and Europe.

"World RX and Woodland Group share a similar growth strategy, innovative approach and continuous drive to be thought-leaders within our respective industries. Rallycross is fast-paced, quick-changing and demands agility and attention to detail - characteristics we very much identify with at Woodland," explained Kevin Stevens, CEO of Woodland Group. "As an independent business, we are used to approaching things differently to provide unique, personalised solutions to ensure success. Our experienced, dedicated team of staff will work tirelessly behind the scenes to successfully deliver the Championship throughout 2017. We very much look forward to a competitive season and being an integral part of the sport's growth as we take the teams to South Africa for the very first time in the history of the Championship."

"Our new partnership with Woodland Group will help World RX grow into an even bigger global operation," added Paul Bellamy, World RX managing director for IMG. "In 2017, we will visit the continent of Africa for the first time and we look forward to working closely with Woodland to transport our Supercars and RX2 cars to South Africa later this year."
