Stand 21 begins distribution of HANS Club Series 2

Stand 21 has announced that the HANS Club 2, already registered on the FIA technical list #29, will be available from retailers by the end of May. It is designed to meet the same success as its predecessor, which has sold over 50,000 units globally to date.

Built using a Stand 21 exclusive alloy and designed with an emphasis on ergonomics, following the knowledge learned from the high-end Ultimate model, the improved HANS Club Series 2 model body only weighs 650grams, while its reduced bulk makes ingress and egress easier.

Available, much as its predecessor, in a 20° M fitment to suit the largest majority of motorsports practitioners, this HANS is made in France and is FIA 8858-2010 approved. Priced at only €330 (US$364), VAT inclusive, the new model sits between the first-generation HANS Club, now offered at €275 (US$303) including VAT, and the full-carbon RS2 model at €400 (US$441), VAT included.

Stand 21 states that its approach to safety addresses the needs of all racers, from vintage to top-flight racing, in every auto-racing category, offering a claimed 'best protection there is' against not only fire or impacts, but the intense heat-stress generated inside hot cockpits.

As a motorsport safety source, the Stand 21 Safety Foundation, "Racing Goes Safer" is a non-profit organization with a primary purpose of promoting enhanced motorsports safety. Achieving this goal in collaboration with medical and scientific bodies, as well as with major series' organizers (FIA, SFI, NHRA, SCTA, SCCA, SCORE...) in order to bring awareness of safety issues, and solutions to the forefront of motorsports world.
