AP Racing, a brake and clutch supplier across a variety of series, is opening an all-new US office in Charlotte, North Carolina, USA. AP Racing North America Corporation (APRNA) will provide customers throughout the US and Canada with greater access to AP Racing’s road and race technologies.
AP Racing’s commitment to establishing this new US presence follows what the company sees as opportunities for growth within the region. The firm states that investment in the new office, combined with a skilled local team, will enhance support and customer liaison for new and existing customers.
The office will closely support all AP Racing’s US customers, including the company’s recent contract win with an original equipment manufacturer (OEM), which will be adopting AP Racing components, with production beginning later in 2022. This will be in addition to support for customers in NASCAR, IndyCar, IMSA, other OEM road car programs and specialist vehicle projects.
Although AP Racing has been present in the US market for some time, with permanent staff working alongside US distributor Essex Parts Services – which will remain the exclusive North American distributor – the company hopes that APRNA will enhance the connection between its global headquarters in Coventry, UK, and direct customers, including OEMs and race teams in the US.
David Hamblin, MD at AP Racing, commented, “Formation of our first US office, AP Racing North America Corp, is a major milestone in the history of AP Racing and further development of the organization within the strategic North American automotive market. APRNA will support business for both road and race applications in the US. Centrally located in Charlotte, NC, the new office provides the perfect location to service our expanding customer base.”
