To strengthen its senior leadership team at a point of exponential growth, Briggs Automotive Company (BAC) – the producer of the road-legal, single-seater Mono supercar – has appointed Mike Flewitt as chairman of the board.
Flewitt brings to his newly appointed position more than 40 years of experience within the automotive innovation, manufacturing and strategic management sectors. He joins BAC at a time of growth, as the company aims to execute a rapid scale-up plan. During 2023, the vehicle manufacturer will launch several new models in addition to expanding into new international markets. BAC’s latest vehicles will feature a host of newly developed technology and will sit alongside the OEM’s current Mono line-up.
From 2013 to 2021, Flewitt led McLaren Automotive Limited after moving on from another previous role as vice president of manufacturing at Ford of Europe. As CEO of McLaren Automotive, he was responsible for launching an entire range of cars in addition to facilitating the rapid growth of the supercar manufacturer.
