Advanced engineering company Dash-CAE has developed the TR01 chassis for track and hill-climb cars. This new chassis will enable OEMs, motorsport teams and privateers to develop high-performance specialist vehicles.
Dash’s engineering team can tailor the chassis to meet performance requirements. The company’s unique engineering approach supports accelerated timescales, reduces costs and minimizes development risk. Dash says the TR01 is a cost-effective platform for privateers looking to build a bespoke track car or an OEM seeking to develop a one-off special for a hill climb.
Using its experience with Formula 1 and hypercars, Dash can expand its involvement beyond chassis design and manufacture to deliver complete projects. From suspension to the drivetrain, the UK-based brand can design, engineer, source components, integrate systems and assemble complete vehicles for its customers. Its facilities also include extensive composite and additive manufacturing capabilities.
The TR01 carbon fiber monocoque for road cars was launched in 2023. Since then, it has been refined and adapted to suit new applications. Lightweight, stiff, safe and versatile, the road chassis provides projects with an exceptional base from which to build specialist high-performance vehicles. It is compatible with a range of powertrain options, from high-performance IC engines to hybrid and full-electric designs.
Tim Robathan, the CEO of Dash, said, “We are excited to expand the TR01 program to unique track and hill-climb cars. These specialist vehicles present a number of unique challenges that are swiftly overcome by using a cost-effective, high-performance carbon monocoque right from the beginning. Its versatility means that the TR01 can be adapted to almost any application or powertrain configuration, making it the ideal foundation for track, special event and hill-climb vehicles.”
