Tilton will release its new range of 79-Series master cylinders for motorsport ABS at Professional Motorsport World Expo 2017. The 79-Series master cylinders are specifically designed for use with motorsports ABS, such as GT3, GT4 and TCR applications.
Unlike traditional master cylinders, the new 79-Series master cylinders do not use a conventional cut-off port, and instead feature a new port strategy with a mechanically opened cut-off/compensation path. Elimination of the cut-off port greatly reduces the chance of seal damage caused by high-pressure pulsations from the ABS.
Directly interchangeable with Tilton 77-Series and 78-Series master cylinders, 79-Series master cylinders feature a rear spherical bearing mount and a one-piece piston/pushrod that removes side thrust loads from the master cylinder bore. Its aluminium billeted body with proprietary low-friction coatings minimises wear and provides smooth operation.
Every 79-Series master cylinder is hand built, blueprinted, function tested and serialized for tracking in Tilton’s build database, and available in seven bore size options to suit a wide range of braking systems.
Tilton can be found at the 2017 Professional MotorSport World Expo, in booth 6038.
