German car manufacturer Elektron Motors and Electra Vehicles, which specilizes in AI/ML-based solutions for EVs, have entered an R&D partnership aimed at advancing electric hypersport vehicles.
The collaboration will leverage machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance battery state estimation and optimize energy management, in order to improve power optimization and vehicle safety.
Through this partnership, Elektron Motors will integrate Electra’s advanced ML/AI technologies to improve the reliability and longevity of electric hypersport cars. Electra’s technology measures the battery’s state of charge (SoC) and health (SoH), which the company says optimizes battery usage and extends its lifespan by more than 20%, reducing the need for frequent maintenance.
Fabrizio Martini, CEO of Electra Vehicles, said, “Our mission at Electra Vehicles is to push the boundaries of what’s possible with electric vehicle technology. By leveraging the power of ML and AI, we offer unprecedented improvements in performance, energy efficiency and safety for electric hypersport cars.”
Intelligent energy management algorithms will also be used to enhance energy output, for an expanded vehicle range and performance, allowing drivers to enjoy longer, high-speed journeys without compromising power.
According to Electra, its predictive analytics technology continuously monitors vehicle conditions, identifying and resolving potential safety and maintenance issues up to three months in advance, with a 1% error rate. This capability enhances driver confidence and trust, underscoring Electra’s role in advancing electric vehicle technology.
“Our collaboration starts with our 2,400hp all-electric Elektron Quasar that we will launch this year. It allows us to dynamically optimize power distribution according to real-time driving conditions, ensuring unmatched performance and efficiency,” said Armagan Arabul, CEO and CTO of Elektron Motors.
