Formula E has announced that the Indonesian capital of Jakarta will feature on the championship calendar for the first time this coming season. Jakarta joins Seoul and London as new venues for season six.
The track layout and circuit configuration are yet to be revealed but will be announced, along with the updated calendar and full list of dates and destinations for season six, following the next FIA World Motor Sport Council meeting in October.
Formula E is continuing to expand its global reach with another event in an emerging market for electric vehicles in Asia. As the fourth most populated country on the planet – behind only China, India and the USA – Indonesia represents important strategic market for the series.
