Williams Advanced Engineering has been appointed Single Battery Supplier to the FIA Electric World Rallycross Championship for the seasons 2020 to 2023 by the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA).
As the FIA World Motor Sport Council approved plans to transform the current format into the FIA Electric World Rallycross Championship from 2020, the decision was also made to name Williams Advanced Engineering as the sole battery supplier.
“Williams Advanced Engineering is delighted to have been selected by the FIA to electrify the World Rallycross Championship,” said Craig Wilson, managing director of Williams Advanced Engineering.
“Having successfully powered the entire FIA Formula E grid since its inception, our team looks forward to delivering world-class capabilities to all the competitors in the championship.”
