UK-based Gibson Technology has announced a new technology partnership with Grainger and Worrall; a leader in casting development and innovation for the motorsport, automotive and aerospace sectors.
Having supplied Gibson with precision aluminium castings for its high performance race engines for many years, Grainger and Worrall will now work even closer with Gibson’s engineers following the technical partnership agreement. Engineers from both companies will focus on designing and developing cutting edge products to meet the needs of Gibson’s expanding LMP1 and LMP2 race engine programs. Both companies will also benefit from the partnership, learning from each other, along with a mutual desire to deliver world leading products.
“Grainger and Worrall is looking forward to developing our successful cooperation with Gibson Technology, following a hugely positive LMP2 campaign in 2017 that showcased both class-leading performance and reliability,” said Edward Grainger, Grainger and Worrall’s managing director. “These are exciting times for our partnership, and we are looking forward to building upon the exceptional achievements of the last 12 months. As a company, we are proud to be associated with Gibson Technology and play our part in helping to deliver podium-winning performance.”
“I am delighted to have agreed this Technology Partnership with Grainger and Worrall, who is our key supplier for lightweight aluminium castings,” said John Manchester, Gibson’s operations director. “Grainger and Worrall is undoubtedly one of the world’s leading manufacturers of castings for the Motorsport industry and this partnership is a logical step, which will further strengthen the excellent relationship we have formed over the fifteen years our companies have worked together.”
