VP Racing Fuels has announced a ‘spec fuel affiliation’ with the 24H COTA USA. The inaugural running of the race, held at Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas on November 10-12, will see all teams use VP Racing Fuels. Supplied at the track, race teams will be issued with VP’s M95 race fuel, which is a brand-new unleaded, non-oxygenated 98RON blend, which VP states offers ‘reliable, consistent quality’.
“VP has a long tradition of supplying premiere tracks and sanctioning bodies with spec fuel all over the world and we are very proud to work with COTA and the 24H Series by supplying world caliber racers with a race fuel blend that will provide the power and efficiency that these types of race series rely on due to their demanding race conditions and overall length of time on track,” explained Donato Bonacquisto, director of marketing for VP Racing Fuels.
The 24H COTA USA is the latest addition to Creventic’s 24H series powered by Hankook; an FIA-approved international series of 12- and 24-hour endurance race events aimed at amateurs, semi-professionals and professional drivers. A wide variety of ‘tin top’ touring cars, GTs and 24H-Specials (e.g. silhouette cars) are eligible to race, from ‘hot hatchbacks’ up to proper GT3 machinery and purpose-built race cars.
VP Racing Fuels is best known for supplying fuels to virtually every form of motorsport on land, sea and air since 1975. VP is the Official Racing Fuel of the WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, AMA Supercross, NMRA, NMCA, World of Outlaws Sprint Cars and Late Models, Pirelli World Challenge, PDRA and Rally America, among more than 60 VP-sponsored series and sanctioning bodies.
