Hyundai Motor America has showcased the new Elantra N1 TC Evo race car at Sonoma Raceway. It will be the latest contender in SRO’s Touring Car (TC) America series beginning in 2025.
The race car will make its debut at the TC America series opener this March at Sonoma Raceway. Hyundai seeks to defend the 2024 TC Drivers’, Team and Manufacturers’ Championships with the new race car. Furthermore, the brand will host the new Hyundai N Trophy Cup, a championship within a championship, which will be part of the TC America Series. In this format, contenders compete against other Hyundai entrants while also competing against the entire TC Series.
The Hyundai N Trophy Cup will be hosted at four of the series’ seven race weekends, including both three-race weekend events. Hyundai N Trophy Cup championship points will be tracked separately, and TC America entrants will be eligible for both championships and awards.
The race car’s updated exterior is based on the global Elantra N1 Cup Car, used in Korea’s Hyundai N Festival one-make race and the Hyundai N Cup in China. Updates include,wide fenders and 18 x 10-inch wheels, along with others to meet SRO TC Series homologation requirements.
The TC America series offers drivers tough competition while providing a safe platform to hone their skills. Based on the roadgoing Hyundai Elantra N, the Elantra N1 TC Evo race car is perfect for drivers looking to take the next step, as per Hyundai.
The Korean brand will also select one driver to compete in the Nürburgring 24 Hours as part of an invitational program. This individual will drive with other Hyundai-selected drivers from around the world. The season’s top drivers will also have opportunities to participate in global Elantra N1 Cup series including the Hyundai N Festival in South Korea.

The Hyundai Elantra N1 TC Evo will be available for sale through Ricca Autosport, which will also offer trackside parts and technical support to all Hyundai teams.
