Next year’s first ever Speedmachine, which forms the 2018 leg of the FIA World Rallycross Championship presented by Monster Energy, has signed a partnership with music giant Ministry of Sound Group (MOS) to form part of the weekend’s music entertainment.
Ministry of Sound – a multimedia entertainment company with a nightclub and worldwide events operation – will take over the main stage on Friday night to perform a DJ set after the on-track action has ended.
Throughout Saturday and Sunday, MOS DJs will perform in the VIP areas. MOS is the first music act to be announced for the inaugural Speedmachine and several more will be revealed in the upcoming weeks.
Speedmachine will be held at Silverstone on the weekend of 25-27 May 2018 and will feature World RX action, various other track action and demonstrations, music acts, manufacturer test drives, e-gaming, street food and camping. Ultimately, the Speedmachine Festival will deliver pure indulgence for fans of speed and cars.
“Music and driving have always had an incredible relationship, and there’s no better music brand to align with this hugely exciting new festival,” explained Guy Robinson, Founder and CEO of Coalition Talent. “Ministry of Sound will be bringing some amazing DJs and production to Silverstone, and deliver entertainment as memorable as the cars themselves.”
Tickets for Speedmachine are currently off sale but will be back on sale 4 December.
