Lazer Lamps has announced the launch of an upgraded range of its hybrid-optic ST and T range of LED driving lights. The upgrade includes the introduction of three new products; within the ECE approved road-legal ST products, there is new 6 and 12 LED variants, aimed squarely at the road tuning and commercial vehicle markets, while the T range of market leading off-road LED spotlights has been bolstered by the introduction of a range-topping 28-LED light bar.
Known as the ST Evolution and T Evolution, all lamps benefit from upgraded LEDs and component technologies, combined with advanced electrical design and material solutions, to deliver superior performance and reliability, which bely their class-leading low E-mark reference numbers for which the Lazer brand has become synonymous.
“We upgraded the 11W LEDs in the Evolution ranges, which alongside some intricate work on the electrical design, means the new and upgraded lights have a higher lumen output than before,” explained Lazer Lamps MD, Ben Russell-Smith. “We then modified the reflector system so that this extra light is harnessed into a ‘Drive’ beam pattern which delivers even more distance, even more spread, and less of a ‘hotspot’ directly in front of the vehicle, than the lights they replace. It’s what our customers told us they wanted, and I’m delighted we’ve managed to deliver it.”
In improving the electronic design to bolster the lighting performance, the reliability of the products has also been improved further. Designed and built in the UK, the lights are tested to IP69k (to ensure protection against water and dust ingress), have a 5-year warranty as standard, and a lifetime guarantee on the ‘unbreakable’ lens.
“Not all LED lights are built the same,” concludes Russell-Smith. “We continue to innovate, utilise the latest component technology, and push the limit of what these technologies can achieve, which combined with the contemporary design of our products, I hope will appeal across the complete spectrum of automotive applications.”
