The ABB FIA Formula E Championship has formed a partnership with automotive supplier and global technology providers Bosch. The company will link up with the electric series as official auto parts, white goods and power tools partner.
“Bosch is one of the leading automotive suppliers and a renowned and respected name – and the move into the ABB FIA Formula E Championship is definitely a big step,” said Alejandro Agag, founder and CEO of Formula E.
“I couldn’t think of a more natural tie-up – with Bosch’s long-standing tradition of competing in motorsport and expertise in electrification, automation and connectivity.”
Bosch joins the growing list of brands partnering with Formula E. With extensive involvement in different categories of motorsport over the years, the move to Formula E – for at least the next three seasons -– underscores Bosch’s electromobility ambitions.
Dr Markus Heyn, member of the board of management of Bosch, said, “Bosch is the go-to partner for electric driving, a position that is now also reflected in our status as an official Formula E partner. Bosch electrifies the powertrain – whether on the streets or in motor racing.”
