Ciceley Motorsport will make its British GT debut at Donington Park next month. It has now been confirmed that Adam Morgan will drive the team’s Mercedes-AMG GT4.
The outfit is using the championship finale to gain experience of the car ahead of expansion into domestic and European GT racing, as well as confirmed Gulf 12 Hour and 24 Hours of Dubai outings.
Ciceley and Morgan won the Ginetta GT4 Supercup title together in 2011 before graduating to the British Touring Car Championship the following season. They have remained series front-runners ever since, first with Toyota and now Mercedes-Benz.
“Ciceley is predominantly known for its BTCC program but the team has a history of competing in other series and the chance to try GT4 is something we’ve been looking at for a while,” said Morgan.
“Obviously we already have a very good relationship with Mercedes, and the fact we can run a GT4 car for multiple customers in Britain, Europe and the Creventic series makes a lot of sense commercially.”
