Ginetta has announced the signing of a new three-year deal with British Touring Car Championship organizing body TOCA. The manufacturer’s one-make championships will remain part of the BTCC support package until the end of the 2022 season.
This deal ensures that the Michelin Ginetta Junior Championship, the Millers Oils Ginetta GT4 SuperCup, and the Protyre Motorsport Ginetta GT5 Challenge will run as support series across the season.
Lawrence Tomlinson, chairman, Ginetta said, “Ginetta has been the biggest presence on the BTCC support bill for over a decade now and we are delighted to extend our partnership with TOCA for a further three years.
“Competing on the TOCA package offers our drivers unrivaled broadcast and print media coverage, as well as great exposure to thousands of fans at each of the race meetings for themselves, the teams and their sponsors.”
Alan Gow, chief executive for the BTCC, added, “The career ladder from the Ginetta Junior Championship into the GT4 SuperCup and beyond is proven and unique in British motorsport, with a host of former Ginetta drivers now competing in the BTCC. It is fantastic to see.”
