Toyota Gazoo Racing has announced that it will showcase its Gazoo Racing Supra Super GT concept at the Tokyo Auto Salon 2019.
The manufacturer will also bring the Yaris WRC, the TS050 Hybrid, and the 2019 Lexus LC Nürburgring-spec to the customized car event that will be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba Prefecture, Japan.
For this year’s Tokyo Auto Salon 2019, Toyota GR has selected ‘from past to future’ as a theme. Toyota Gazoo Racing aims to develop its cars through its motorsport activities. It currently participates in top category races including the FIA World Rally Championship and FIA World Endurance Championship, as well as national rallies and races.
The technologies and know-how it acquires through these activities are subsequently fed back into the development of new production vehicles.
