During both sessions of the second and final day of the Prologue test at the Sebring circuit in the USA, the fastest times were set by Toyota, with Mike Conway achieving a 1.48.473 in the No. 7 Toyota GR010 Hybrid Hypercar in the Sunday morning session, followed by a lap time from Sebastien Buemi which was just 0.008 seconds slower in Toyota’s No. 8 car.
The defending Hypercar World Endurance Drivers’ and Manufacturers’ champions were followed by Michael Christensen in the No.5 Porsche Penske Motorsport Porsche 963 who posted a 1.49.073 around the track. Fourth placed was Alex Lynn in the No.2 Chip Ganassi Racing Cadillac V-Series.R.
Further down the testing leaderboard was Kevin Estre in fifth place in the No.5 Penske Porsche 963, and then Nico Mueller in his No.94 Peugeot 9X8 in sixth.
Other notable achievements included the two non-hybrid LMH cars of Floyd Vanwall and Glickenhaus Racing, which improved on their Saturday lap times.
During the fourth and final Prologue session, Toyota’s Brendon Hartley set the second-fastest time of the overall test so far, completing a lap in 1.48.216s in the No. 8 vehicle. The lap time, however, was still 0.008s slower than José María López’s fastest time from Saturday morning.
Additionally, Cadillac Racing continued to show the ability of its V-Series.R Hypercar, with Richard Westbrook completing a 1.48.890s.
