As a continuation of its partnership with the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), MDD Europe will supply the governing body of international motorsport with revised and updated medical kits for use within the Formula 1 World Championship.
The supply agreement will see MDD providing FIA medical delegates, chief medical officers and their respective teams with up-to-date equipment and knowledge to ensure that in the case of an incident on or off the track, drivers, marshals and onlookers receive the most appropriate and efficient care.
MDD also provides specialist solutions for advanced trauma training, and as the medical and safety team provider for Formula E, has conducted extensive research and development of extrication practices in electric and hybrid racing series.
“The FIA is pleased with our continued partnership with MDD Europe across a range of FIA championships,” said Tim Malyon, FIA safety director. “It is vital that our FIA medical delegates, chief medical officers and their teams at race circuits around the world are supported with the highest standards of medical and safety equipment and expertise provided by MDD Europe.”
“We are delighted to continue our cooperation with the FIA,” added Peter Schroeder, director of MDD Europe. “We remain a proud partner of the FIA and their member clubs, now for more than a decade. Providing state-of-the-art medical and safety equipment is vital in creating a safer racing environment and this remains our corporate motivation as well as our personal passion.”
