McLaren Applied will take on the headline sponsorship of this year’s Professional MotorSport World (PMW) Expo app, the official app of the PMW event taking place on November 8-9 at the Köln Messe, in Cologne, Germany.
One of the world’s premier motorsport shows, PMW Expo is set to welcome 150+ of the industry’s leading exhibitors, making it the place to find the latest advanced motorsport and high-performance vehicle technology.
Alongside the opportunity for teams, high-performance manufacturers, parts dealers and distributors to find engineering solutions for their latest projects, PMW Expo also plays host to a series of technical sessions. Providing attendees with insights into the latest developments shaping the industry, this range of free seminars and discussion panels will this year include McLaren Applied’s own head of motorsport, electrification, Neil Palmer, who will be speaking on the topic of ‘Road to race – race to road – the need for a constant innovation cycle’.
McLaren Applied’s European and US distribution partner Aviorace will also be in attendance, exhibiting the Sport Range – McLaren Applied’s latest range of off-the-shelf motorsport sensors, offering the same combination of reliability, specification and quality as its race-proven premium products.
Speaking of the announcement, Richard Saxby, director, motorsport at McLaren Applied, said, “McLaren Applied’s headline sponsorship of this year’s PMW Expo app not only provides an excellent opportunity to increase awareness of our cutting-edge products among many of the industry’s leading names, but also underscores our commitment to the motorsport industry.
“With the automotive world undergoing greater change, and more rapid innovation, than at any time in living memory, McLaren Applied remains dedicated to leading the way for combustion, hybrid and pure electric series alike.”
Tony Robinson, founder of PMW Expo, said, “We are always delighted to have McLaren Applied with us at this professional motorsport event which brings together a fantastic cross-section of motorsport people in Europe and especially senior technical people. The developing trend toward electrification and the knowledge-build that’s required make this year’s McLaren Applied theme highly pertinent not least with the focus of road to track and track to road. Echoes of the famous saying ‘race it Sunday, sell them on Monday’ remains the constant here while the technology is undergoing a transformation.”
