French gearbox manufacturer Sadev (Booth 2038) has two new transverse units and one new inline unit on its booth.
The highlight is a 3D-printed prototype of the upcoming ST90-17. It has a bigger primary and secondary shaft to cope with the high torque output of TCR cars, and combines a torque rating of 500Nm with a low weight and compact size. Sales technician Guillaume Brunet said, “We expect customer deliveries to start by March 2020.”
Sadev is also showing a new transverse gearbox for rally applications. A replacement for the company’s bestselling but aging ST75-14, the ST75LW offers a wide choice of gear ratios and final drive configurations for R2 rally cars. It is available as a 5-speed or a 6-speed.
Finally, the inline SCL924 is a beefed-up version of the SCL8217, which is now able to cope with the highest torque outputs of the GT segment, making it suitable for cars such as the Chevrolet Camaro and BMW M8.
