UK-based motion simulator technology company Dynisma has formed a partnership with McLaren Automotive, becoming the brand’s official motion simulator partner.
Under this agreement, Dynisma will supply McLaren with its driving simulator, the Dynisma Motion Generator (DMG), which features low-latency and high-bandwidth capabilities. McLaren will utilize this simulator at its Technology Centre in Woking, Surrey, for virtual development across various aspects of new supercars, including dynamics, aerodynamics, propulsion systems, NVH, control systems and HMI.
By leveraging Dynisma’s advanced simulators, McLaren aims to accelerate its vehicle development process, reducing the need for costly physical prototypes while enabling efficient and sustainable testing in a controlled environment.
Emmanuele Raveglia, McLaren’s vehicle line executive director, said, “We’re very pleased to announce that we are working with Dynisma as our official motion simulator partner. Harnessing their DMG technology allows us to significantly enhance our early performance development and elevate the emotional thrill of driving a McLaren even higher.”
Ash Warne, Dynisma CEO, added, “Our Dynisma Motion Generators bring a totally revolutionary approach to car development, enabling near perfect correlation between testing and real life – breakthrough features that are already being enjoyed by automotive OEMs globally through the supply of multiple simulators to date.
“As McLaren’s official motion simulator partner, we will have an especially close relationship and are looking forward to supporting McLaren as it maximizes our world-leading technologies in the development of its next-generation high-performance supercars, enabling it to deliver the most thrilling driving experiences imaginable.”
