VBOX has released a new sim pack that will allow eRacers to benefit and learn from the same track-based predictive lap-timing technology currently used by drivers in real-world motorsport.
Working the same way that it would in a real car on track, the lap timer is able to use race data collected from the PC, rather than from the car, to provide sim racers with valuable information regarding the speed of their current lap. Alongside this, an array of color LEDs gives drivers an indication of speed against previous fastest laps.
Drivers can also load screen recordings in the brand’s analysis software, Circuit Tools, where a synchronized video can be viewed alongside data to help identify where time is made up or lost over the period of a lap. The lap timer display can also be transferred from the simulator to a race car, meaning drivers are able to continue improving lap times, whether it be in the virtual or real world.
The VBOX sim pack currently supports Assetto Corsa, iRacing and Project Cars, among many other well-known titles.
