Stati Group has detailed an all-new motorsport venue for Australia, with the company confirming that an application has been made for a complex in Keysbrook, south of Perth in Western Australia.
Developed in association with UK design consultants Apex Circuit Design, the multipurpose facility – to be known as The Track Perth – has been designed with corporate and motorsport applications in mind.
Stati Group has liaised with both Motorcycling Australia (MA) and the Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS) during the planning process to ensure its relevance and compliance for ride/drive day events and motorsport competition.
At 3.5km, The Track Perth features a technical and challenging layout, with multiple circuit configurations available. The track includes a 3.53km FIA layout, a 3.55km dogleg, a 1.16km north circuit and a 2.28km south circuit. Additionally, it will feature a karting circuit and conference facilities for corporate drive and ride events.
The design incorporates the latest worldwide safety standards, meeting requirements for motorcycle ride days and competition, the results of which also allowed the circuit to achieve an FIA Level 2 grading, while the karting circuit – which has been designed to achieve CIK (Commission Internationale de Karting) homologation – will also be considered for MA short course activities and competition once it has received MA certification.
Eugene Arocca, CEO at CAMS, has said any new track would be a significant boost to the local economy, while also providing invaluable track time for Western Australian motorsport lovers.
“We know how popular permanent circuits are around Australia and you only have to look at the interest in South Australia’s newest track, Tailem Bend, to understand the positives of such developments,” Arocca said. “This is a great opportunity for Western Australia as a state to attract more motorsport events to its calendar.
The Keysbrook circuit will become Western Australia’s third venue alongside the Barbagallo circuit in Pinjar and Collie Motorplex southeast of Perth.
