Bruno Famin has been named as Alpine’s new vice president of Alpine Motorsports and a member of the Alpine Management Committee. He will lead all of Alpine’s motorsport activities and report directly to Laurent Rossi, Alpine’s CEO.
With the latest appointment, Alpine has confirmed that it aims to establish itself within the upper echelons of competitive motorsport. All teams – ranging from Formula 1 to Endurance, customer racing and Rallye-Raid – will be managed by Famin. He will also be tasked with finding and developing drivers through the Alpine Academy. As a result, all current leaders of Alpine motorsport activities will now report to Famin.
Famin will continue to serve as the managing director of Alpine Racing’s factory in Viry-Châtillon, France.
Famin brings with him a wide breadth of knowledge from the motorsport sector, having achieved several titles at the Le Mans and Dakar races. He will also bring a wide range of engineering knowledge to the organization, which has already helped to re-establish Alpine’s F1 PU as a credible reference in the paddock. Previously, Famin also worked in the motorsport regulations sector as an executive for the FIA.
