As part of an expansion plan beginning in 2023, BTC Racing has announced that it will be rebranding as One Motorsport.
In addition to the rebrand, Will Powell will be joining the company’s board as marketing and commercial director and bringing GT and sportscar racing to the business.
One Motorsport will run multiple cars in the Kwik-Fit British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) as well as competing with its customer racing program in the Intelligent Money British GT Championship, British Endurance Championship and the McLaren Trophy.
The expansion – which is expected to last for a few years – will see One Motorsport’s sponsors, partners and affiliated businesses being provided with a package of motorsport content, events, exposure and excellent paddock hospitality across a multitude of racing series in 2023.
Additional details on the BTCC and British GT driver line-up, and of new partners, will be released in the near future.
“All the guys at Brackley firstly need the recognition of our achievements in 2022 and in such a short space of time competing in the BTCC – the change of name is not to leave our achievements behind, but to plan for the future as we lift our company profile within the motorsport industry,” said Steve Dudman, One Motorsport’s team owner. “We are also so pleased to welcome Will Powell and the guys from Motus One to join us at Brackley with his expertise and the GT operation being brought to the business. We look forward to going racing.”
“Absolutely thrilled to announce the rebranding and welcome Will Powell into One Motorsport,” commented Danny Buxton, managing director at One Motorsport. “2023 promises to be a super-exciting year as we embark into the GT Customer Racing arena for the first time. With our BTCC programs already locked in for the year ahead, it gives us a super platform for on-track success and commercial growth.”
“I am delighted this has come together to create one of the strongest teams in British motorsport,” added Will Powell, commercial and marketing director at One Motorsport. “In a relatively short period, my team at Motus One have worked hard to build a team capable of competing at the top. Joining forces with Steve Dudman and Danny Buxton in the newly formed One Motorsport takes things to the next level, providing customers with better support, equipment and facilities. I’m looking forward to leading the commercial operation, where I have always been at my strongest, and helping to drive forward the GT and BTCC programs on track.”
