Leading junior formula team, Carlin has announced that it will be on the grid for the 2018 FIA Formula 2 Championship following the announcement of the series entry list this morning. The British based squad, who have race winning experience in the championship formerly known as GP2 Series, will add the Formula 1 feeder category to its championship winning ladder of junior formula.
“We’re very pleased to be joining FIA Formula 2, which we see as an incredibly important championship in the development of young drivers,” Trevor Carlin said. “The FIA and Bruno Michel have done a fantastic job in simplifying the ladder to Formula One and other top level professional race series. As champions in Formula 4 and the FIA Formula 3 European Championship, our target now is to win in FIA Formula 2. We’re looking forward to announcing our driver line-up shortly.”
