A new 48-minute documentary film, Acura ARX-06 The Origin Story, details the development program that HPD undertook when building the Acura ARX-06, a prototype racing car which made its debut last weekend at the Rolex 24 at Daytona in the USA.
For the 2023 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship season, Meyer Shank Racing and Wayne Taylor Racing with Andretti Autosport will run the new car within the GTP class.
Highlights of the film include the initial concepts and goals for the ARX-06, as well as sections on the design, development and testing stages. Further styling, aerodynamics, power unit integration and simulation techniques also feature to highlight the trials and tribulations the team faced during the Acura ARX-06’s inception.
