McLaren Applied has appointed Nick Fry as non-executive chairman. Fry is the former chief executive officer of the Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula 1 team and has also held the position of managing director at Aston Martin and Prodrive in addition to several senior management positions at the Ford Motor Company.
Fry’s arrival marks the first board-level appointment since Greybull Capital acquired McLaren Applied in August 2021. Marc Meyohas, managing partner at Greybull Capital, commented, “Nick is a recognized leader in both motorsport and the automotive industry, having been deeply involved in both growth companies and large, complex organizations. It is a clear endorsement of McLaren Applied’s strategy and roadmap that we can attract a person of his caliber and expertise.
