CCW Forged Performance, a division of WELD, has introduced its new TS12 Corsair R-Spec wheel for race application. The ultra-lightweight wheel is available in weights as low as 8.4kg and has passed a 1360kg (per wheel) cornering fatigue test load at 300,000 cycles.
The TS12 features a monoblock construction forged from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, and is available in 18″ and 19″ diameters. An optional shot peen finish to the wheel also provides an additional 25% surface strength boost.
CCW Forged Performance has also announced that Shea Holbrook, co-owner and driver, Shea Racing, will represent the CCW brand in the 2016 Pirelli World Challenge (PWC) championships. Shea Racing will equip its Honda Accord touring car with the TS12 Corsair R-Spec wheels in a 18×9 fitment.
“The entire CCW team helped immensely in meeting our needs to accommodate the StopTech braking system we’re using as well as the lug nuts we use to deliver a custom fit,” explained Holbrook. “The Honda Accord is one of the heaviest touring cars in the field. Therefore, we took all necessary measures for weight reduction and CCW was able to help us with that.”
To kickoff the launch of the TS12 Corsair R-Spec, CCW Forged Performance is offering a 10% discount off all Corsair, SP Series and Concave Series wheels until Feb. 28, 2016 by using the special offer code: RSPECPROMO.
