Hankook has earned three stars in the Environmental Accreditation Programme from the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA), its highest level of environmental and sustainability certification.
The FIA accreditation is a certification program designed to promote environmental sustainability in motorsports and the mobility industry. It evaluates factors such as environmental performance, energy consumption reduction, logistics efficiency improvements, waste management optimization, and the implementation of carbon neutrality programs.
Hankook Tire was identified for its active involvement in sustainability, including climate change initiatives, as the exclusive tire supplier and sponsor of the FIA Formula E World Championship.
The brand has also dedicated its resources toward sustainability, converting the entire tire value chain into a circular loop — from raw material procurement to production and post-use recycling — to supply tires for Formula E.
It also conducts Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) across all stages, from raw material sourcing to manufacturing, transportation and recycling, while meeting new standards in carbon footprint tracking.
