Ahead of the 2016 Swedish Touring Car Championship’s opening round at Skövde this coming weekend, Dalecarlian Racing Team powered by Brovallen Design has announced it is to change car brand to Ford. For the previous three seasons, Brovallen Design has fielded Kia Optima’s in Sweden’s premier touring car series. The finished Mondeo’s will make their track debut at the Skövde round.
“We are preparing ourselves for STCC’s upcoming regulations, where Ford already has a finished solution,” said Tobias Johansson, team principal of Brovallen Design.
“It’s incredibly fun to drive a Ford Mondeo”, added driver Rasmus Mårthen. “Ford has been close to my heart for years as I’ve had help from a local Ford Dealer, in Mora, since the start of my career. It is fantastic to drive a car brand that they sell.”
