The Board of Directors of Circuit Zolder has appointed Sven Pribylla as the new general manager. On 23 May, Pribylla will take up his duties at the head of the non-profit organisation Terlamen, which operates the circuit.
Sven Pribylla (37) succeeds Thierry Deflandre, whose contract was ended by mutual agreement in December 2015.
Sven Pribylla was born in Genk and lives locally in Lummen. From 2013 until recently, he was Branch Manager at the new branch of the JAM Group in Dilsen-Stokkem and Certified AMG Expert for the JAM Group. He worked previously as Branch Manager for Garage Hermod – JAM Group. Before that, he held a similar position at Jaguar Hasselt. He has therefore acquired extensive commercial experience in the automotive sector before taking on this new position. Sven Pribylla is married and has two children.
The new general director will officially take over the reins on Monday, 23 May, and will manage a team of 25 employees as well as a few hundred volunteers. Circuit Zolder is responsible for organising several classic events on the annual calendar such as the Superbike IDM (9 and 10 July), the 24 Hours of Zolder (20 and 21 August), and the Truck Grand Prix (17 and 18 September). This year, the events will also include the American Festival Circuit Zolder Nascar Finals (8 and 9 October), which was very popular in 2015, and the Race Promotion Night (12 November).
The annual calendar of events will wind up on 26 December with a round of the Cyclo-cross World Cup.
