ARE Dry Sump Systems is showcasing its range of SPINTRIC air/oil separators at the 2016 Professional Motorsport Expo, as used in a variety of dry sump systems worldwide, as well as introducing its latest CNC-machined aerospace A356 T6 cast dry sump oil tank.
The new SPINTRIC air/oil separator is now available in six different versions, making it suitable for all flow rates and racing engines. Unlike similar devices, the SPINTRIC is designed to help eliminate the air from the scavenge return oil to the tank. The nature of the drysump system is to ‘over scavenge’ the engine, sending oil and air back to the oil tank or reservoir. The SPINTRIC’s job is to send de-aerated oil back to be used again, sometimes within seconds. The air is then sent back to the top of the tank, where it can be then vented back into the atmosphere. Both devices separate air from oil, but in different dynamics, function and end results.
ARE dry sump systems have been used in winning race cars from Indy 500, LeMans, GT2 and GT3, Formula Ford, and all popular sports cars.
The company can be found at Professional Motorsport World Expo stand 6042.
