Lentus Composites will be showcasing its newly developed range of CFRP prop-shafts and flexible drive couplings at the 2016 Professional MotorSport World Expo.
Lentus produces composite sleeves for motors, generators and energy storage flywheels used in the energy recovery systems which are now widely applied in top level motorsport.
The new range has been designed to meet demanding applications with a focus on fatigue performance, reliability and weight, with typical applications including DTM, Japanese Super GT and the FIA GT categories.
The company says its filament wound CFRP pressure vessels and accumulators offer considerable weight savings with validated parts designed, manufactured and delivered to compressed time scales.
Inspection and testing facilities enable mechanical testing to take place for product validation and qualification as well as physical characterisation of the composite, NDT and dimensional inspection.
